A field guide, not a bucket list.

Meet the New UNESCOs is an independent editorial experiment about the 25 places newly inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2026—and the cultural, environmental and social stories that make them matter.

The project uses the UNESCO World Heritage Centre listing pages as its factual basis, then rewrites that information in a concise editorial voice. It does not use UNESCO images, marks or emblems.

Photography and rights belong to their respective creators. Until a site-specific, reusable photograph is verified, the cards use clearly labelled local field-note artwork rather than unrelated imagery.
